With the theme “Scary, Ugly Food!” The first Disco Soup in Kosovo was held today, where ‘ugly’ vegetables destined for landfills were cooked as soup by volunteers and offered to attendees for free.
Organized by the Green Foundation in partnership with Termokiss, this event deliberately made the opening for Halloween because one of the scariest things at this time is the fact that 1/3 of all food still with nutritional value ends up in the trash.
In line with the pandemic measures, the Green Foundation invited a limited number of participants to Disco Soup, where they cooked by listening to music, dancing and discussing in the name of ending Food Waste.
This event is also a starting point for other similar events in the future that will be organized in Pristina and other places in Kosovo.
Disco Soup events are implemented by the Green Foundation within the consortium of the HumanRightivism project which is supported by the Swedish Government and managed by the Community Development Fund.
